Masi’s renowned Appassimento expertise is elevated here with a long over-ripening period on bamboo racks and a minimum of three years of ageing in noble wood. The skillful use of native varieties from Valpolicella Classica is enhanced by the rare and distinctive Oseleta grape.
A HISTORIC GRAPE
Oseleta is a native Veronese variety, known for its intense color and strength, rediscovered and replanted in Valpolicella by Masi in the 1980s. Also dried for this Amarone Riserva, it adds further aromatic complexity and structure, bringing notes of wild berries and sweet spices, along with fine, lingering tannins.
